Magic Pill from Coach

Quite often, a client comes to a coach for an answer, not for the coaching process. Something grows inside, breaks through to the surface, and we tend to look for a professional who, as it seems to us, may have an answer.

Often my client sees something in me as well. My transition from an exec and founder to my beloved profession - coaching, my home in Berlin found after trying and living in 6 countries, my marriage, which nourishes me and helps me grow.

They see me as a way out because the tension from the lack of a path is off the scale, and they need someone to take it off.

Believing that the coach has an answer is a misconception. My answer is not really going to help the client move forward.

A client will not receive an answer from me, not because I am so mean and want to keep everything to myself, but because this magic pill does not work.

The client will receive the real answer only from themselves.

My role is not to take this pain away.
My role is to keep this pain and tension in sight, sit in it and experience it together, and love the client in the process.

And so, our delusion can actually lead us to our own “next step.” But not through advice from a coach but through searching for an answer within yourself.

The main thing is not to close your eyes, but to look together with the “guide” into those corners that sometimes you really do not want to look into.
